Abstract：
The spectroscopic properties of SrBPO₅ doped with Ce³⁺ ions are investigated in 130—400nm wavelength region.The bands corresponding to the 4f¹→4f⁰5d¹ transitions of Ce³⁺ in the host lattices are identified.The barycenter of Ce³⁺ in the host lattice is found at 43.2×10³cm^－1,which is relative higher for Ce³⁺ in oxide.In addition,the host absorption and the crystal field splitting as well as the emission of SrBPO₅:Ce³⁺ under VUV-UV excitation are presented and discussed.
