ELECTRO-WEAK UNIFIED THEORY——A MODEL IN SU(3)×U(1)

  • An electro-weak unified model based on SU(3)×U(1) group is suggested, which is left-right symmetrical and assuming the same interactions of neutrinos (or antineutrinos) with charge leptons and antileptons before spontaneous symmetry breaking. It is anomaly free and sin2θw1/4 can be drived. The difference between the model and the Weinberg-Salam model is very small in the low energy range. The lepton number is generalized to the lepton charge. It is proved that only lepton charge is strictly conserved and the individual conservation of the lepton number of every generation of leptons hold only approximately. The quarks have not only baryon number and charge but also lepton charge. This model predicts processes μR→eReLμR, e+e→μ, etc.
