MULTIWIRE PROPORTIONAL DRIFT CHAMBER

Abstract: A Multiwire proportional chamber with a large drift space has been made. Its sensitive volume is 310×110×176 mm3, the energy resolution is 22% (FWHM). It may be used as a efficient detector which can detect the X-ray in the region of 3—30 keV on a large area, for example, the transition radiation in the X-ray region.
