Single TOF Scintillation Counter Simulation Study with GEANT4

Abstract: Based on GEANT4, we simulated single TOF scintillation counter and got its intrinsic time resolution. By comparing two kinds of plastic scintillator material—BC404 and BC408 and different modes of coupling between the scintillator and PMT, we got their. respective intrinsic time resolations and pulse heights Our simulation results will be an important reference for BESⅢ TOF design.
